Hi, I’m Sanjida! I write .
If you haven’t come across me before, I’m an award-wining writer, I’ve had over 12 books published in different genres.
I’m currently writing dark thrillers and nature non-fiction. You can expect writing about writing, wildlife and wilderness.
I’ve created a workshop for you on the power of precision.
It’s recorded so you can listen or watch in your own time, but do please feel free to post comments!
‘If I read a book and it makes my whole body so cold no fire can warm me I know that is poetry. If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.’ ~Emily Dickinson
Isn’t it incredible when you read a book or a poem and you immediately know exactly how the character feels, or thinks, and you can image where they are, you’re so immersed in the story?
That’s what we want to achieve with our writing!
And you can find out how and why it works in this workshop, with some help from
, author of The Science of Storytelling, in an interview with , writer of the newsletter, The Elements of Writing. You’ll need:
pen / pencil and notebook
a small item of food, like a piece of dried mango, apricot or a square of chocolate.
Allow about 40 minutes to complete the workshop and do the exercises.
