Thank you for this wonderful post. The note you made about the couple in Lidl reminded me of a couple that I overheard in my local Co -Op today discussing fruit (bananas) and they had a little bicker about it, unbeknown to them it made me chuckle. They may just feature in one of my short stories somewhere one day. Everything and everyone is potential inspiration when you are a writer. I best grab my notebook and pen.
We don't get those ones in the UK, but they look beautiful. Such intricate designs, almost fairy-tale like. They remind me a little of the art-inspired ones that the British Museum does.
This really resonated with me. I use the "what if" question all the time; I even created a mini-course around it. It's the key to developing ideas for me. And I really enjoy Harlan Coben--his books and films. I've taken some of his course on Masterclass.

Thank you Nicola Joanie! Oh I love that. There's something so delicious about arguing about bananas in particular. Hope to see it in a story soon!
Love a good notebook!
Me too, but I guess you know that! What's your favourite kind?
I have beautiful ones that I order from Jase’s books here in Australia.they have these gorgeous colourful covers with dragons and mythical scenes.

I have 6 notebooks next to me right now and one by my handbag! I feel so seen! Thank you!!
😂 How lovely! Spoilt for choice. Do you use each of them for different kinds of writing?
I do!
